I said on Sunday that I said I would share some of my favourite resources on the blog this week, then sat down to do it and realised what a huge task I had set myself. So rather than trying to come up with a definitive list, here are some things I have been blessed by recently. I hope they bless you too.

Read

The Book of Belonging by Mariko Clark | Those of you who worshipped with us over Easter will know how much I love this children's Bible. The stories are woven through with reminders that we belong and we are beloved and we are delightful.

Don't Forget We're Here Forever by Lamorna Ash | A personal journey into Christianity, as the author engages with different Christian communities and seeks to find her own spiritual feet.

Listen

Pulpit Fiction Podcast | This is regularly a part of my sermon prep. Two ministers talk through the lectionary readings, often bringing new insights to familiar texts.

Nomad Podcast | A huge back catalogue of episodes covering pretty much every theological topic you coyld think of with a fascinating range of interviewees.

Watch

Pilgrimage on BBC iPlayer | Each series sees a group of celebrities from different faith backgrounds undertaking a pilgrimage together. Fascinating conversations about religion and spirituality which prompt personal reflection.

Wake Up Dead Man on Netflix | A murder mystery which is also a deep exploration of what it means to believe. It is rightly ciritical of organised religion in places, but it also contains some beautiful and profound depictions of faith.

Contemplate

Lectio 365 | A daily rhythm of scripture and prayer, with short guided meditations for morning, noon and night. Download the app or see the Lectios 365 website for other resources, including a version for families.

Blessings | Reading and speaking blessings has become an important part of my spiritual practice. My favourite writers of blessings are Jan Richardson and Kate Bowler, both of whom you can find and follow on social media.
